Home Again: An Evening of Story, Song, and Belonging

A benefit for the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition

What does it mean to belong to each other? We’re attempting to answer that question with storytelling, music, and hope.

Join author Mariah Friend November 5th at Songbirds in Chattanooga as she reads from her debut novel, The Pattern Shop. and shares the evening with Kofi Mawuko and Hope Henchey in conversation about migration, connection, and home.

During an intermission, the audience will have the opportunity to engage with local organizations and non-profits in Chattanooga including the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition to learn more about their work in our community.

Following intermission, Kofi will end the night with celebration as he performs with his eight-ensemble Ogya World Music Band.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Show starts at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are sliding scale and there are a number of limited no-cost tickets available. If finances are a barrier and you’d like to attend, please reach out to info@mariahfriend.com
